Responsibilities
- Providing clinical leadership that seeks to optimize independence and health outcomes
- Coordinate and supervise the day-to-day operations of the clinical care
- Ensures care delivery is consistent with excellence in standards of practice.
- Driving effective and accurate clinical documentation that complies with the funding guidelines
- Actively monitoring service performance, finding opportunities for improvement
- Coordinate and support the investigation, review, and response to all clinical incident reporting processes to ensure feedback and incidents are acted upon effectively and in a timely manner.
- Ensures clinical and care staff are appropriately educated and competent to carry out their required roles and responsibilities.
- Coordinates the implementation of high standards of care for all residents.
- Manages the clinical assessment process to ensure that individualized care plans are developed and regularly evaluated and reflect residents’ current care needs.
- Ensures appropriate staffing levels and skills mix is available at all times to meet residents’ needs.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Proven ability to lead a team of staff and maximize outcomes in performance and resident care
- Demonstrated Clinical Assessment Skills.
- Demonstrated Clinical supervisory /management experience in a Residential Aged Care Setting.
- Ability to engage with residents and families to promote and foster positive relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, influence, and lead effective teams.
- Knowledge of Aged Care Standards and Accreditation and the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI).
- Strong time management skills - ability to prioritize and work under pressure
